The TG480A is available with, 20 W and 50 W
transmitter carrier power. The 20W and 50W versions
have in internal bandpass filter as an option for a single
channel operation. Remote control system is also
available.
Comprehensive BITE monitors the unit to ensure proper
operation at all times and facilitate maintenance.
The transceiver can be remotely controlled via a multiwire
cable up to 100 m using a desktop remote control.
For larger distances a 2-wire remote control interface is
optionally available.
A recorder output and an RS232 port for remote management
are standard with the unit.
A complete range of accessories is available for the
system to operate in different applications.

The TG480A series of ground stations offers a low
cost, stand-alone solution for ground to air voice
communication (AM/A3E) in the VHF band for Air Traffic
Control. This transceiver is ideal for airfields, small airports,
oil rigs or as emergency station for main VHF systems.
The heart of the TG480A is the Becker AR4201 transceiver
which utilizes state of the art technology to cover the whole
118 MHz to 137 MHz frequency range, operating on all
760 channels. Preprogramming of 99 channel memories
and scanning through the preprogrammed channels are
standard features with the unit.
The unit is built as a compact 2U high rack mounting
package, good for both desktop and rackmount
applications. A simple operation is guaranteed from the
key pad on the front panel and a 2-line LCD display clearly
indicates the selected operational mode. The unit can be
supplied with both AC and DC.

BECKER TG-480A Remote Control
The FB460 is a desktop AF/PTT remote control with gooseneck
mike and builtin speaker. An AC power supply is also builtin.
The unit can also be powered by an external DC power supply or
by an external battery with a 24 VDC nominal voltage.
The FB460 is designed to control the TG480A and GS59XX
series groundstations, over distances up to 100 meters via a
multi-wire cable. For longer distances a 2-wire interface model is
required at the radio.
